Wizkid declares free show; Nigerian talented singer, performer and Grammy award winner Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun
popularly known as Wizkid has been on the news making controversial headlines back to back.
The ‘Essence’ hit maker Wizkid, declares free show in Lagos. A while back, Wizkid said that his Lagos show was going
to be his last show in Nigeria and people didn’t receive the news well considering the fact that Lagos made him and is
part of his success story.
Wizkid during the show in Lagos had to clear the air saying they misquoted me when I said this was going to be my
last show in Lagos, what I really meant was that because what he actually meant was that this is going to be his last
time you’re ever gonna pay to come to a Wizkid show, because subsequent shows will henceforth be free of charge!
In his words;
“When I said it’s going to be my last show in Lagos right, what I really meant was… E be like say I have to start finishing
all my sentence when I start because them dey misquote me everyday. I dey talk my mind… What I really meant was that
with the kind of love that you guys show me, it is very unfair to do show around the world and come back, and still make
you guys pay to watch me perform. So I want to make a promise tonight, this is going to be the last time you will pay to
come for a Wizkid show”
