Tems wins grammy award; The Nigerian singer Tems has been on a constant level up recently

bagged a Grammy award in the just concluded Grammy awards ceremony, this is the singer’s

first-ever international award. She won the award in the category of Best Melodic Rap Performance

with the song ‘WAIT FOR U’ which the American rapper Future featured her and Drake.

 

A few days ago the Nigerian singer and songwriter hung out with top international artists

in the music world, the likes of Jay Z, Beyonce, and a host of others were in attendance at

the Pre-grammy award brunch and Tems getting an invite to such an event owned her place

amongst the stars gracefully.

 

Tems have proven time and again that she’s here for a long time, the singer has undertaken

multiple projects to earn her one of the biggest international awards that artists couldn’t

attain in the course of their entire music career. She is Nigerian’s first female artist to have

attained this award being just a simple girl with big dreams.

 

Tems rose to fame after being featured on Wizkid’s hit single ‘Essence’, which sky-rocked her

career and made her notable in the music industry and the global scene. The song went on to

win multiple international awards and made Tems talent one that’s hard to miss.

 

She used the opportunity in the best way possible and moved on to bigger projects, such as being

featured on one of the soundtracks titled ‘No Woman No Cry’ for the sequel of marvels biggest movie

Black Panther. She single-handedly wrote the song ‘Lift Me Up’ for Rihanna, and Rihanna couldn’t help

but acknowledge Tems or her pen game.

 

The singer has made her mark while setting standards for other female artists to follow.
