and vows to win it by all means
portable’s greatest wish; Nigeria’s controversial artist and singer Portable has disclosed his
greatest dream and what he would consider the highest achievement of his music career.
In a recent interview with @Timiagbaje the self-proclaimed IKA OF AFRICA said that he
would love to win a Grammy award to check off all his achievements and would also want
to win it under the category of Best Artist in Africa.
He declared that he wants to use his recognized name IKA OF AFRICA to win the Grammy award.
Adding that unlike the National Awards people play politics with whenever they want has lost its
credibility, on the other hand, the Grammy’s according to him is very much more valuable and
gives more recognition than their local counterparts.
Below follows the conversation between Timiagbaje and Singer Portable;
Interviewer: “Wetin be that thing wey be say if you don do am, when you don run am e
don finish, you don do everything wey you wan do for your mind?”
Portable respon: “Me I no go lie you o, na to collect Grammy. Yes na abi, I go like collect
am under Best Africa Artist, number one. I wan use that Ika Of Africa collect that award. If I no
collect award, international no be all those local award wey dem dey sell o. Even those people
wey dey win am wetin dem dey sing, no be auto tune dem dey use? Come make we sing, make
we no who Sabi. Can you sing live band?, Can you sing good song? Can’t you sing good reality
song? Can’t you praise God Okun kee you lol”
When asked which artist he would like to work or collaborate with, the singer revealed he would
love to work with Asa, because she’s a talented artist.
