The Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems or Tems baby has lambasted
a troll for making a distasteful comment on her hard work.
A fan took to Twitter to remind the award winning artist and ‘Essence’ hitmaker that she had earlier promised to drop an
album in 2022 and seeing that the year is almost over and the singer is yet to make any announcement.
The fan tweeted
“@temsbaby promised us an album this year but as we no come hear anything like dis nko?” the fan asked.
The tweet somehow got to Tems attention and Tems responded saying that she has postponed her album release
date till next year – 2023.
A displeased troll immediately called out the artist for taking so long to release an album, and included this is the
reason she doesn’t take female artistes seriously because they don’t hustle hard like their male counterparts. Stating
that the female artists start misbehaving once they become famous.
She tweeted:
“Next year loun, loun. Nah why I no dey take female artiste serious, they don’t have that hustle spirit like men .
Little fame like this, they will start doing anyhow”,
Tems baby got offended by the tweet and immediately lambasted the troll for underrating the hard work artists put into
their craft, not knowing the sacrifice they put in. The singer also assured her that she won’t last if she was in her place.
