The chemistry between Tems and Rihanna is undeniable, both on and off social media since their first meet at the

Fenty event in New York. And the American artist has this to say about the talented Nigerian superstar

 

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, co-wrote the recently released single by grammy award
winner Rihanna. The Nigerian artist received the deserved applaud from American songstress Rihanna for her role in their new collaboration.
Tems rise to the global standard is undeniable, having written songs for Beyonce, Rihanna and Stormzy. And latest being credited as a songwriter
on a Rihanna song for Black Panther titled “Lift Me Up.”
The single, which is to soundtrack Marvel’s blockbuster movie, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. It also represents a tribute to the legendary actor
Chadwick Boseman.

Tems took to her Instagram page on Friday, October 28th, 2022, to speak of how grateful and honoured she was to have written the song.

She wrote:

Blessed to have written this song in honour of Chadwick Boseman and even more blessed to hear the baddest @badgalriri voice it to perfection?✨

 

Responding to her post, Rihanna praised Tems for her pen game on the song. She wrote:
