Rema gives a shout out to Wizkid and others in the industry. The Mavin frontline artist and talented Singer popular by his stage name Rema is one of Nigeria’s breathing rights. The young talent is considered wise due to how he carries himself and stays off drama.
Rema in an interview with Z100, describes how far his music journey has brought him and expressed gratitude for those that paved the way for him and many others who came after them. In no particular order, the ‘Calm Down’ crooner named a hand full of Nigerian artists who have been in the industry.
People such as Fela, Don Jazzy, D’banj, Wande Coal, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido. Also, Tekno, Timaya and Psquare who he described were living lavishly and flying private jets. Even before many of them got the opportunity to live as lavish as they are.
While describing these artists as legends, and giving them the accolades they deserve. He acknowledged their contribution to the industry and how their hard work opened and paved the way for him. And being in the position to do the same, he would love to do the same for those coming after him.
After his last song ‘Holiday’ Rema is set to release another single ‘Charm’ on Friday. We will be keeping an eye out for that as it promises to be a banger. Kudos to Rema for appreciating his senior colleagues. Watch the video below.
