Police orders immediate arrest of Seun Kuti. Following the orders of the inspector general of police
IGP Usman Alkali Baba ordered the commissioner of police. In Lagos state command to arrest
Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti, who was captured ass@ulting a police officer.
Seun was seen on third mainland bridge confronting a police officer which resulted in slaps
and pushing as the confrontation continues. It’s unclear what led to the confrontation but the
police officer was calm through it all. Also, it’s unclear when the incident occurred but the
video went viral on May 13th.
According to the statement released by the spokesperson of the Nigerian police force, CSP
Olumuyiwa Adejobi. He said the IGP has ordered an immediate investigation into what
transpired that caused the ass@ult.
The statement reads “The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR has
ordered the commission of Police, Lagos state command to arrest Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti.
Who was captured on the video ass@ulting a Police officer in uniform”
“The IGP has equally ordered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate
cause(s) of the ass@ult and prosecution of the suspect accordingly”
The singer has taken to his social media account to give a brief statement following the incident, which
