New cat saga: singer Seun Kuti Shares his thought on the ongoing debate. Nigerian Afrobeat singer and performer popularly known as Seun Kuti has weighed in on the cat saga making waves. The issue which started when Davido made a statement saying he and Wizkid are the only young artists who blew up.
And then categorising Burna Boy among the young cats with the likes of Rema, Fireboy, Asake, Mayorkun etc. The debate is that Burna boy is way ahead of them all since he has been in the industry for years. While adding the fact that he’s also the only artist to win a Grammy award to his name without collaboration.
Meanwhile, despite the fact that David’s statement brought lots of opinions from both colleagues in the industry as well as from fans. Burna Boy is yet to react or respond to Davido’s claim. But his younger sis and a team member has given a subtle reaction to the statement.
However, singer Seun Kuti has given his two cents on the controversial topic. According to the singer who took to his Instagram story to share his opinion posted “Dem don give Nigerian youths their size CATS AND GOATS. It’s not your place to discuss Dungeons and Dragons”.
It’s unclear what the singer means with his post, but many are categorizing CATS as new artists. And GOATS as old artists who have been in the industry for long. What do you think?
