She has been receiving accolades as well as comparisons. The performance which was anything short of amazing, made Nigerians proud. She was described as Afrobeat Queen while being called on stage. For Prince Charles’s Coronation, Tiwa Savage was the only Nigerian artist that got invited, as well as performed. The ceremony took place at the royal palace in Buckingham.
Tiwa announced the event via her social media page following her performance announcement. Little did we know what she had up her sleeves, the crowd was blown away with her special performance. But aside from the accolade, the singer has now been compared to Ghanaian singer Efya.
According to the critic, he opined that Efya would give a better performance than Tiwa if her Lifestyle wasn’t so bad. He wrote, “On any day, Efya can do this performance three times better than Tiwa Savage. No caps! If not for bad lifestyle choices, this is where Efya should be, cos naturally, she’s a better and more gifted singer than Tiwa Savage”.
