Falz’s father reveals why his son embarrasses the government. Human rights activist and lawyer Femi Falana, SAN has revealed why his famous son Folarin Falana is popularly known as Falz. Is always at loggerheads with the government, f!ghting injustice and corrupt politicians.
Speaking at a recent event on Sunday, 2nd of April, the senior advocate stated that one of these guys said to him. “Falana, talk to your son he should stop embarr@ssing the government”. And I said which government? You mean the boy who is an adult? Can I give you his number so you can talk to him?”
“But be careful because when that boy was growing up, I was being arrested from time to time. So the only language he understood was detention, arr£st and the rest of them. He continued, that One day when Falz was six years old, he asked his mother.
“Our teacher taught us that only crimin@ls were arr£sted. Is my father a crimin@l? Why is he always being arr£sted? And the mother had to say in Nigeria, under the military, only two sets of people were arr£sted. Crimin@l suspects and. political suspects. Political suspects are those who are out to expose the crimin@lity of the government. That is what you see going on”.
Falz defines the term ‘the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’ because he is quite audacious in speaking people’s rights. He has been speaking up since the #endsars process as well as during the election. The singer who also has a law degree isn’t shy to speak his mind and call out the corrupt process of government.
