Ay swear lifetime allegiance to Peter Obi despite defeat in the just concluded election.
Stand up comedian and actor Ay Makun, better known with his stage name Ay has sworn a lifetime allegiance to Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi.
Ay’s declaration of lifetime allegiance to Obi came a few hours after the Labour Party Presidential candidate lost the presidential race to former Lagos state governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressive Party (APC) in the just concluded 2023 election.
The result of the 2023 election was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1st 2023. INEC announced that the former Lagos State governor scored 8,805,420 votes to defeat his counterparts, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential race.
Ay took to his Instagram page to swear a lifetime allegiance to Peter Obi, despite his defeat in the just concluded election.
He said:
“From the very day you honored my open inAyvitation to speak with Nigerians concerning the 2023 elections, I became proud of you and what you represent.
“Till this very minute, you still make a lot of people feel so proud of your courage, handwork, ambition, and plans for a better Nigeria. Continue to be honest with your genuine intentions for our country, Nigeria.
“No matter what you do in your life. Just know that I will always be supporting you.”
Ay in his post recounted how Mr Peter Obi Honored his invitation to speak to the youth. The comedian said that that single act by the labour party presidential candidate made him believe that Obi has genuine intention for our country, Nigeria.
Ay also advised the former governor of Anambra state to always be of good intention and continue to put in good work.
