Nigerian own Asake announces O2 arena show and sells out tickets in Dubai despite the late announcement
The Nigerian singer and performer Asake, announces O2 arena show. The ace artist recently outdid himself, by headlining the popularly AfroWorld concert in Dubai. The YBNL signee headlined a 17,000-capacity venue of a show hosted in Dubai. Despite the language barrier people turned out, proving there’s no barrier with good music.
Asake headlined the AfroWorld concert in Dubai last week, and all tickets sold out ( 17k Capacity venue) despite the late announcement. And the concert had to be rescheduled to two days to avoid overcrowding. The singer’s success, global recognition and acceptance are truly amazing.
Having a sold-out show outside the shores of Nigeria is indeed a great accomplishment. Asake also announced plans to go further to host a concert in the O2 Arena in London come August 2023. Fans are overjoyed by the announcement as the only big artist date to do it. Such as the likes of Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.
Below are fans’ comments on the O2 Arena news;
@BASITO: “Asake is also doing his first headline show at the O2 Arena, this is really bold step from Asake. London people should be ready for Asake this August”
@benny: “Rema and Asake booking the O2 arena for concerts in a very short span of their individual careers goes to show how much they’ve grown as artists and as performers. Burna Boy and others already laid solid foundations, only right that the future of Afrobeats is in safe hands”
@Diogo: “Abeg they should slow down, Rema and Asake are just rushing and forcing this thing. What music are they going to sing there? Just one album Dem don they shake there small yanch”
@Elvis: “Rema wants to do 02 …Asake too ..instead of Nigerians to be happy that our stars are so big now ..they’re still doing another comparison”
