Asake announced that one of the four persons involved in the stampede that occured at his London show is dead via his social media page.
Asake announced one dead; The Nigerian artist and YBNL signee Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Asake is one of the frontline artist of the
YBNL record label. His recent show which took place in London was met with an unfortunate incident due to some people
trying to force their way into the venue which resulted to a Stampede that has taken the life of one person.
The show at the O2 Brixton Academy on Thursday was brought to an abrupt stop and cancelled after some fans
created a stampede while trying to force their way into the venue without a ticket which resulted to so many people
being injured and in critical conditions.
Following the incident, Asake shared an update via his Instagram page, that a lady identified as Rebecca Ikumelo,
has passed on after hours of being on medical supervision.
The singer wrote;
“I am devastated by the news that Rebecca Ikumelo who was in a critical condition since Thursday has sadly passed
away. My sincerest condolences to her loved ones at this time. Let us please keep her family in our prayers. I have
spoken to them and will continue to do so. I am overwhelmed with grief and could never have imagined anything
like this happening. My team and I are still awaiting the full debrief back from the Venue management and the
Police to determine what exactly led to all the disruption caused and ultimately to Rebecca’s passing. If you have
