Scholarship Overview:

The University of Cambridge Mastercard Scholarships aim to offer talented students from Africa fully-funded opportunities to complete their master’s degree, develop transformative leadership skills, and contribute to climate resilience and sustainability in Africa and around the world.

Eligible Field of Study:


The scholarship program encompasses a wide range of disciplines at the University of Cambridge, with the exception of certain business courses, including the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Corporate Law (MCL), and Master of Finance (MFin).

Eligible Countries:

This scholarship is open to applicants from all African countries.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the University of Cambridge Mastercard Scholarships, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of an African country.
  • Be ordinarily resident in an African country, unless they can demonstrate temporary absence for study or work with the intention to return, or unless they have been displaced.
  • Be applying for a Master’s course of up to one year in length at the University of Cambridge.
