Wiz Khalifa recently made headlines by selling a portion of his music and publishing catalog. HarbourView Equity Partners finalized the deal, acquiring some of Wiz Khalifa’s biggest hits like “Black & Yellow” and “See You Again.” The exact earnings from the sale have not been disclosed yet.
In a press release, Wiz Khalifa expressed excitement about the sale and his partnership with HarbourView. He stated that Sherrese Clarke Soares and HarbourView understand the value of music and artistry, and he looks forward to collaborating with them as they build a dynamic media company aligned with Taylor Gang’s goals.
Soares, the founder and CEO of HarbourView, also commented on the sale, recognizing Wiz Khalifa’s impact on culture as a musician, executive, media visionary, and creative force. HarbourView previously purchased half of Nelly’s catalog, securing some of his iconic hits for around $50 million.
Wiz Khalifa’s tour with Snoop Dogg has already begun in Vancouver, known as the “High School Reunion” tour. The lineup also includes Too $hort, Warren G, DJ Drama, and Berner. The tour will cover over 30 stops across the U.S., including Atlanta, Brooklyn, Phoenix, and more, concluding in August with a final show in Irvine, CA.
