About the Aurora Tech Awards:
The Aurora Tech Awards for Entrepreneurs is an annual global prize designed for women founders of tech startups. This initiative is dedicated to breaking down barriers and advancing equality in the field of tech entrepreneurship.
Objective:
Women entrepreneurs in the field of Information Technology (IT) often encounter challenges like investor bias, stereotypes, and a lack of role models, which restrict their representation in the industry. The Aurora Tech Awards aim to discover exceptional tech startups led by women and provide the necessary support to help them shine. By supporting women in tech entrepreneurship, this program is setting new and equitable standards in the world of venture capital.
Eligibility:
To be considered for the Aurora Tech Awards, you must meet the following criteria:
- Woman Founder: The startup must be founded or co-founded and led by a woman entrepreneur.
- Funding Stage: The startup should not have received investments exceeding $4 million in funding, including the seed round.
- Operation Time: The startup must be no more than 5 years old.
- Minimum Viable Product (MVP): The startup should have a functional prototype. Applications with only an idea will not be considered.
Scholarship Details:
- First Prize: $30,000 USD
- Second Prize: $20,000 USD
- Third Prize: $10,000 USD
